Vivid Behind the Scenes: What We Do When We're Not Creating

‍Hello and Welcome,

Kyle, Ryan and Alex, the trio behind Vivid Creative Studio, would like to give you an inside look at our lives outside of work. While most of our days are filled with brainstorming sessions, client meetings, and bringing creative visions to life, we also make sure to embrace the vibrant world outside the studio walls. Today, we're excited to give you a peek into what we love to do when we're not hard at work.

We live in the beautiful little beach town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

We all love the beach, especially during the summer but even during the offseason too. In summer we have many beach days full of laying out under the sun, swimming in the ocean, and playing sports on the shore with friends. During winter we enjoy how empty the beach and boardwalk are, and we like to go on walks there. Sometimes if it's nice enough outside we even jump in the ocean for a quick cold plunge. We find that there’s truly something about the ocean that rejuvenates our spirits and helps fuel our creativity.

Other than the beach, we also like spending lots of time in the great outdoors exploring our surroundings. From biking along scenic trails to riding our longboards through town, we love going on adventures to new places and experiencing nature. There’s a huge state park nearby where there’s lots of outdoor activities to do all year long. We also love playing sports and are part of a league called Outloud Sports. Throughout the year we play kickball, dodgeball, softball, and volleyball. The competitive aspect of these sports is enjoyable, but it’s really mostly about having fun being part of a team and being social. Not included in this league is golf, but we also love playing golf when it’s nice out.

As creatives, we also find solace in the world of creativity and self-expression.

We like painting and drawing, creating digital art, reading good books, journaling, and more. It’s important for us to be able to express ourselves and use our creativity for fun sometimes, not always just for work. We all have always enjoyed being able to create new things and come up with unique ideas. Another activity we like to do as much as we can is traveling. We believe that traveling is very helpful for broadening horizons, fostering cultural understanding, and gaining valuable life experiences. It exposes us to new perspectives, challenges our comfort zones, and promotes personal growth and appreciation for life itself. All three of us studied abroad for a semester in college and have always enjoyed seeing new places. Some trips we’ve taken in the last few years are a road trip along the Southern California coast, a camping trip to some National parks in Maine, watching our friend run the marathon in Boston, a snowboarding trip to Park City Utah, hanging out at the beach in Florida during the winter, and more.

Beyond all of these activities, we really love spending time with friends and getting to know new people in the local area.

We have lived here for over three years now and have gotten very connected to this area.

We’ve made lots of close friends who we love doing things with such as going out to eat, playing video games, watching sporting events, going to breweries, going to the gym, etc. We are also members of two of the local Chambers of Commerce and a separate networking group called BNI, for which we have many in-person events and meetings to attend every month. We love going out and interacting with people, making lots of human connections and having fun while doing it.

All of us also really like animals. As you may know we have a little orange cat named Ferris who we love very much. He is our unofficial Vivid mascot. We sent him to outer space one time, go watch that video on our YouTube channel if you haven't seen it yet. Besides Ferris we also dog sit for multiple people at different times. This means that there is quite often a dog in our house who we are taking care of, which we really enjoy.

At Vivid Creative Studio, we believe that life is meant to be lived to the fullest.

We live by the motto "Work hard, play hard". By embracing a diverse range of experiences and passions, we're able to infuse our work with fresh perspectives and boundless creativity. It’s important to have a life outside of work. Although we’re very passionate about our work, we are also passionate about other things beyond business. We love not being confined to a 9-5 job; We have a lot of flexibility to get work done or go out and do something whenever we have some free time.
